Me brainstorming hiring plans for the creative agency of a new founder friend:
“What would your budget be for the role?”🤷🏽
“No budget… just need the person who will show me how much they can grow the business and how much money they need for it.”
Mindset, drive, ownership aka the ability to understand the business + your monetary contribution to it = 🗝️ for talent in future jobs (not only in businesses development roles which is the most obvious/above example.)
When candidates ask me how to negotiate offers, my best advice is always: know your value (/data) and communicate it (/story.)
A trend I talked to many leaders this month so far from ces2024 to now in Dubai is that we’re entering the age of excellence when it comes to “acquiring” top talent - quite literally.
Execution is becoming increasingly easier/faster.
Understanding how to grow business through forming (intercultural/international) relationships will be the core human skillset / currency.
I am beyond excited. ☺️
