Tips on how to meet the most important person at an event:

don't.

Go to rooms where everyone is interesting (↠ inspiring ↠ important.)

Engage with someone.

Anyone.

For at least 5 minutes.

Be present.

Ask questions.

Listen actively.

Talk about what you are passionate about and brings you joy.

Ask to connect.

Meet someone else.

Repeat until you get tired.

Then go home (underestimatedly most important: do not get drunk or fall asleep at the table.)

Follow up.

Extend an invite.
