Timely pop-up on my newsfeed.
This week I am sharing some recent conversations + thoughts + experiences around mentorship.
1. Chanell Harris and a LinkedIn Poll from last year inspired a post on finding mentorship at work, through your managers.
2. Zahra Mammadli shared her personal story about not looking for "mentors," but for consistent feedback instead - out on The Company We Keep on Wednesday!
3. I got to catch up with 2 of my mentors, Steve McDonald and Jason Tumilty last week (both in both category 1 and 2) - direct managers with knowledge and feedback I could grow from.
TLDR:
I don't love "mentorship programs."
I believe in doing the work, working for people to learn from, soliciting feedback consistently.
