Sentence I don't agree with:

"I am really sorry you are going through that experience."

Sentence I do agree with:

"It sounds like an incredible change and experience, I admire how you are moving through it - feeling negative emotions at points is completely normal."

The circumstances are always neutral.

What we make them mean is up to us.

I welcome any and every new experience because there is something new to learn from them.

It's either a good experience or a good story - if you're very lucky and intentional, it's both.
